The once intense relations Russia had with the American Government are now reported to be settling down thanks to newly elected President Barack Obama. But that doesn’t mean that the two still do not agree on everything.
Thanks to former President George W. Bush, Obama gets to inherit the task of negotiating peacefully with the Russian Government. That is one of the many things that are carried over for Barack Obama who already has his hands full with the down turn of the economy.
The now former President Bush signed agreements to deploy at least ten antimissile compounds in Poland and monitoring radars in the Czech Republic, those actions were in which set the diplomatic playing field on another level. For a response the Russians were reported to be moving their missile systems to the Western portion of Russia.
The political change in Washington and the arrival President Obama is what is propelling the Russian leaders to further negotiations. Leaders of the Russian Government were reported of saying “A window of opportunity” late last week in regards of President Obama.
The outlooks of things are neutral based on many things for both sides. The Russians are proposed to offer a joint alliance with the United States, with that also are ongoing negotiations of nuclear disarmament from the prior Cold War.
Though it is far from another Cold War standoff, the actions of once President Bush could escalate into huge proportions. President Obama who was campaigning on change has said he’s open for negotiations with the North Korea, Iran, and Russia.
The Russian President is extending out to President Obama, saying that if reviews were to come on the American proposal for antimissile establishments, the Russian Government would stand down. The former Bush administration reinsured that the defense shield was to shield Northern Europe and surrounding areas from attack such as Iran and never involved Russian territory.
The short Georgia and Russian conflict strained the negotiations of many disarmaments of the region, but many think that the Bush administration could have done more to settle the disagreement from the nations.
Now that the Americans have elected a new President, you can expect negotiations from most of all current and former enemies of the United States. Tensions from both Russia and the United States haven’t been easy in the past, but they were severely severed in the past couple of years. The campaign promises of change with Obama have planned to lay the way like none before. You can expect the Obama administration to enter the negotiation table freely and open to all opportunities for the all nations.
